‘IGNITE’ is performed by the BA Dance students of University of Wales Trinity Saint David, in choreographies by Kiani Del Valle, Zosia-Jo, Stacey Panico and Gwyn Emberton.
This dynamic and thrilling performance will take place on Friday 25th May 2018 at 7.30pm at Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli.
Celebrating the talents of the first and third year students in a variety of styles, the evening promises to be an energetic and technical performance that explores thought-provoking themes and concepts.
This year, we are delighted to also host the South Wales premiere of POWER, a multidisciplinary project based on power and industry, made in collaboration with internationally renowned artists Sarah Hopkins, Martyn Ware and Tracey Moberly. The project unites the artists’ passion for creativity in all its forms with a fascination of industry, industrial architecture and processes. The work has manifested itself in a range of limited edition screen-prints, collagraphs, photography, film and an immersive sonic soundtrack created by Martyn Ware (formerly of Human League and Heavenly 17).
Under the expert guidance of choreographer Gwyn Emberton, the students have created a new work Ingot, a conceptual and performative response to the work of the guest artists. Ingot celebrates the significance and importance of the steel industry in shaping the heritage, landscape and communities of Port Talbot, Llanelli and Sheffield.

Hoffwn eich gwahodd i arddangosfa diwedd y flwyddyn 'IGNITE', sy'n cael ei pherfformio gan fyfyrwyr BA mewn Dawns Prifysgol Cymru: Y Drindod Dewi Sant, ac mae'r coreograffi gan Kiani Del Valle, Zosia-Jo, Stacey Panico a Gwyn Emberton.
Bydd y perfformiad deinamig a chyffrous yn cael ei gynnal ddydd Gwener 25ain Mai 2018 am 7.30pm yn Theatr y Ffwrnes, Llanelli.
Yn dathlu talentau myfyrwyr y flwyddyn gyntaf a'r drydedd flwyddyn mewn amrywiaeth o arddulliau, mae'r noson yn argoeli i fod yn berfformiad egnïol a thechnegol sy'n archwilio themâu a chysyniadau sy'n ysgogi'r meddwl.
Eleni, rydym wrth ein bodd hefyd yn cynnal y cynhyrchiad cyntaf yn Ne Cymru o POWER, prosiect amlddisgyblaethol sy'n seiliedig ar bŵer a diwydiant, a wnaed mewn cydweithrediad â'r artistiaid rhyngwladol enwog, Sarah Hopkins, Martyn Ware a Tracey Moberly. Mae'r prosiect yn cyfuno angerdd yr artistiaid am greadigrwydd yn ei holl ffurfiau gydag atyniad at ddiwydiant, pensaernïaeth ddiwydiannol a phrosesau. Mae'r gwaith wedi amlygu ei hun mewn ystod o gynyrchiadau cyfyngedig o sgrinbrintiau, colagraffau, ffotograffiaeth, ffilm a thrac sain sonig trochol a grëwyd gan Martyn Ware (gynt o Human League a Heavenly 17).
O dan arweiniad arbenigol y coreograffydd Gwyn Emberton, mae'r myfyrwyr wedi creu gwaith newydd, Ingot, sy'n ymateb cysyniadol a pherfformiadol i waith yr artistiaid gwadd. Mae Ingot yn dathlu arwyddocâd a phwysigrwydd y diwydiant dur wrth lunio treftadaeth, tirwedd a chymunedau Port Talbot, Llanelli a Sheffield.
