Tracey needs a backer for her US dream trip
Wednesday January 24 1990
ARTIST Tracey Sanders-Wood has designs on studying in the US. But her hopes of taking up a prestige college there will be dashed if she cannot find a sponsor to foot the bill. And time is running out for running out for Tracey who, after she gained a first class honours degree in fine art, moved from the Welsh valleys to Manchester because of the city's reputation as the textile capital of the country, since being awarded the place at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. Tracey of Hathersage Road, has been trying to find a sponsor to meet the match £16,000 cost of the two year study course. She has been in contact with many firms and The academy will keep the place open for 12 months, but after that she will loose the chance of a lifetime.
