Now, let us spray!

The shutters are about to come clattering down on a dull, blank face of inner city Manchester. Grey steel security screens protecting every shop front have become a fact of life, but on one main route are being transformed into works of art. Jai Moodie and Tracey Sanders-Wood have been commissioned by Moss Side and Hulme Forum to paint the shutters along Princess Parkway in Moss Side. So, armed with paint and a spraygun, they will depict what goes on in the shops and offices behind the metal. "There's a lot of enthusiasm from everyone," said Tracey. "It will improve what is an unsightly mess."
