Read all about it - youngsters in trafford have created their very own magazine.
Wawa - We Are What We Are - has been produced by and for young people as part of a major arts project. With articles on dance, pop and computers, the vibrant magazine is also bursting with interviews, quizzes, poetry and covers a wide range of topics from car crime to clubbing and fashion. And poet and Manchester Evening News columnist Lemn Sissay was at the Gorse Hill youth centre in Stretford to lend his support at the launch. Graphic artist Tracey sanders-Wood said: "Around 100 children of all ages were involved and it has been a wonderful experience. We even managed to get an excellent interview with the Diggers who are on the Oasis record label." The magazine also includes a cassette of two songs produced after local music sessions.
