Have Your Say -Tracey Sanders-Wood- Groundwork's Plans for the Ground next to Victoria Mill Spring 1999

This colourful mosaic is the centrepiece in the plans developed by Groundwork through workshops with groups in the area. It shows Arabella also known as Annabella) the resident ghost at Victoria mill. She is holding bulrushes, which grew here years ago and helped to give Miles Platting its name (see page 5) The mosaic also shows the Rochdale canal with the visiting heron, the old style houses, Victoria Mill and rats!
