A gallery would have been a more obvious place for artists Tracey sanders-Wood and Jai Moodie to hang their latest works - but instead they chose empty houses. Their series of brightly coloured paintings - designed with the help of local youngsters - are being used to transform a run-down area in Old Trafford. Manchester and District Housing Group is renovating a number of houses in the Langshaw Street area, and asked the artists to brighten things up during their work. Tracey from Moss Side said: "It's been a community project." Steve Jennings, from Manchester and District Housing Group , said: "We are delighted to be involved."
